To find out which food allergies you have, you can take an" IgG Elisa" food intolerance test. To have the test done you have to give a blood sample to a specialized laboratory, for a fully scientific test . You can choose to test over 100 food types. The findings are given in a table, which lists each one of the problem food types, with the level of the relevant intolerance; from +1 to +4, where +1 is the lowest level of intolerance, and +4 is the highest.
The recommended diet following the test is, that all the food one is reacting to in levels +3 and +4 should be avoided all together for 10 months to a year, and then reintroduced to the diet slowly, one by one, in a way that one could determine if he/she is still reactive to the food. For example; if you are intolerant to pecan nuts and have reintroduced them to your diet, and have some kind of a physical reaction of discomfort right after, maybe a headache, or stuffy sinuses, or any other form of reaction, you will know immediately that you are still intolerant to pecan nuts. Than try and keep pecan nuts out of your diet.
The food types that you react to in lower levels according to the " IgG Elisa" test; in levels +1 and + 2, the recommendation is to avoid all together for 3 to 4 months, and then slowly reintroduce them to the diet, again in a controlled manner, one by one, so you can be aware if you still react in any way to the particular food type you are reintroducing.
Its a good idea to alternate your diet on a daily basis, so even if you have a food intolerance that you are not aware of, you will not be eating the same problem food every day, and put to much stress on your immune system.
Sticking to your new diet in the first year will not be easy, but discipline will pay off. It is hard to find restaurants to eat in. Some friends will find it hard to accommodate your needs, but your health will get better if you persist. Your aches will lessen, your sinuses will get under control, and your doctor bills will get smaller. Persistence is the key to your improvement. Do not let anyone deter you from your new diet. You will not regret it. Your life quality will change for the better.
